I never knew so much could happen in 6 weeks.

I had the time of my life making friends, being a part of building community and an awesome team to work with girls and hopefully change their lives.

    then there was the drama, but thankfully it was just among counselors, and though I am incredibly confused I'm content to just leave it behind.

     I lost my grandmother (Dad's mom) while at camp and had to journey home to be with the family and attend the services. This was my first open casket.

Three weeks pass, camp ends, and on my way home I visit my gramp (Mom's dad). I had done this each time I went from VT to ME or vice versa. Only this time he wasn't there, not in spirit anyways. He had gone very far downhill.

   The next night I volunteered to stay with him while the rest of the family rested. Once we got to the hospital mom decided she needed to stay. less than 2 hours pass mom and I quietly chatting, trying to figure out the tv channels, trying to not cry in the stupid yellow gowns and masks and gloves...

    He breathes in, he breathes out, it gets kinda juicey/rattley sounding, and then it is silent. My Gramps is gone.

    its been a rough summer.

back to life I am...

   I baked cookies and broke toes with Shilo,

  Cleaned house with Beth,

   Babysat.... lots of little cute boys....

   Fished. and fished some more.

and even got in a little star gazing...

   I spent a weekend in boston area, and another training at a camp for canoeing...  life's been crazy! and just as I think its about to slow down and be a nice break.... its time to head out for camp!

    after helping the bro move of course, and prep my own cap for mom and dad's latest venture in house shopping.... aka my parents leaving my childhood home and moving 12 miles away.
